Celebrity Image

Do we look alike? haha
If I had to say which female celebrity I admire and can seem to relate too. I'd say without a doubt it would be
Jessica Simpson

And to most of you all, you'd probably be scratching your head like whaaaa? But there are so many things that I just absolutely love about her.

For starters, she's always upbeat, happy, and silly. She's full of life and in every interview she's a very relatable and like-able person.  As much as I try to be happy and carefree, I have my moments of desperation, frustration, and anger. And I'm not saying that's a bad thing. It's always good to vent and be intune with all your emotions. But
Holding on to those feelings weighs you down and how are we supposed to move forward when we drag ourselfs back.

Her never ending belief in love despite all the false hopes and drama. From her first love Nick Lache, singer John Mayer and Football player Tony Romo. She's always been the supportive partner, always loving him unconditionally, supporting his career moves and games. She adapted herself to him and (some may argue) is not necessarily a bad thing. I'm sure despite what assholes they turned out to be, I'm sure they were still supportive to her.

When I'm in a relationship and " in love" I tend to do the same, I wont lie and say I'm the perfect partner. I have my habits and kinks to work out, but for the most part
I love being in love and love the idea of love. Luckily for Jessica, she's currently engaged to Eric Johnson who also has a failed marriage under his belt as well. This one seems different. I can feel it but no matter what happened it won't keep her down.

The Realness of Jessica is what stands out and and makes her relatable. Like any other women and girls out there, we have had our highs and lows of body image, weight, and criticism. ( I know I've experienced all three ) Jessica isn't a size 00 BUT she isn't fat. I love how despite getting "criticism"   she hasn't let that get her to diet and be part of the 15% population that's under a size 4.
Which quickly brings up another point, personally I also dislike the whole "Big Curves=Real Women!!" over exaggerated movement or the Skinny Minnie Im a real girl too!  But that's just me.
The last thing I really like about her is her success in the fashion design industry. Maybe it's true that her music career isn't exactly like that of Britney.. But it took trial and error to find what drives and inspires her. She also has a successful hair extension line created with bff Ken Paves. I know I tried and failed so many things before being able to firmly say: I got this.

Sooo in case you haven't caught on, describing Jessica I basically described myself. So many people have misconceptions or predetermined ideas. But we don't really know her. With this blog I am opening myself up more and more and using this as a "therapy" to an extent to let people   Closer. I'm not saying I'm broken either, I just enjoy doing this when I can!
Til the next!

Ps if you managed to get to the end of this, wow kudos. I really thought you'd tune out by the subject. Aand because you got to the end: good news! I got one sorta response to a summer internship which counts as half a call back!  I was told he'll get back to me in a few weeks bc things in his restaurant are changing. (Thats getting somewhere!!!!)

  2. I agree with Carlos you look great! I totally like your look and don't need to have curves to make you a real women. I don't know about this movement but that is false.
