Still looking for an internship..... D:

As i was reminded by a faithful reader (thanks Julio!) I haven't wrote anything in while. I guess im kind of scared to write. I dont want to write about my failures! but my only failures now would be that I am still looking for a seasonal, parttime hospitality job. Hospitality being in a hotel, restaurant, bar, front of the house or back etc etc...
I applied to:

• Entertainment Cruises as an HR intern, Server, and Server Intern
• Hyatt as a Server, and Front Desk Concierge
• Trump as a Greeter/Host 
• Also a lot of Chicago hotels just requesting information on openings, internships, seasonal work
• I also been looking on Craigslist 
• And my lovely cousin Karen has forwarded me lots of information on Hotels! (thanks!)

Its pretty depressing at times...like real call backs, people graduating, friends kinda distancing themselves or LEAVING ME DRUNK MESSAGES :p..but alas...I also had friends give me peoples numbers and such and for that I am grateful.

Im just hoping my luck starts to turn around so I can find something for the Summer.

My spring break was a gooooooood preview into what life might be like after I graduate. (the estimated date being a year from this June) No real worries, no real deadlines, just making time between, work, sleep, and hanging out. Can't wait for that bc then my real deadlines will only be work.

As for work life after graduation.... I can go two ways, look for something in Hospitality find something pays more then what I get paid now an hour make that into a career and find opportunity there. Or find opportunity within the government, Possibly FBI,ICE, Customs. anything that will make me feel fulfilled and give me great time to travel!

What does love mean? So many meanings, So hard to find. but..
I'm kinda glad that I haven't found anything like that. I don't have the time to fit someone into my schedule.and that makes me a bit sad ONLY cuz I'm partly afraid that "What if I don't find someone. Ever."
and yes I know thats Laughable, bla bla bla, but my fears are my fears. I dont want to be 30,32,34. and single..I dont want to be that independent, career, workaholic Female of the Year in a company.
then again.. Its still early.. :)
My focus upcoming April:

• Get at least 2 call backs
• Get hired!
• Hang out with my friends more ( I miss my  petes market friends! but stop going to V-live every weekend!)
•  School is always on this list so It goes without saying that (even thought I just did.)
• Most importantly: To Relax...

Midmarch

Hello fellow Chicagoans! how was everyones weekend!?(As If you were really going to respond  haha) Mine was good, I'll leave it at that :D. I finally went to Reckless Records near the Damen Blue El stop and picked up my Ignition Offspring LP! Oh my goodness I love it! My collection is growing!
This week are my finals and my spring break is next week! I feel a bit worn down! My self-responsibility to do homework and study is wearing thin, as it usually does every quarter around this time, *sighs*
5 days!
I've been searching and searching online for seasonal positions and internships in hotels all over Chicago! So far not one response. Lol. I'm really interested in doing an internship with The Trump and The Wit Hotel. They both really seem like one of a kind hotels and I think it would be a great experience and asset to be able to work there. Here's to hoping! I'm on my way to a workshop in school that's required before we can do an internship. But if I find my own I don't need to do it.
What's on today's agenda:

1. Workshop
2. Meet up with Luis
3. STUDY MATH
4. STUDY ACCOUNTING
5. Sleep by 11

My Donald!!

So I am still recovering from vacation ending syndrome :( I mean I even feel sick sick. We had no transition from
Vacation to reality. (it was like jumping in cold water!) but alas. I am left with memories! Like this one! Of Donald! I got him in Mexico world in..Epcot? When we first got there it was like they knew! My room key was of Donald!
Heading back to work wasn't bad. My Friday is mañana so hooray! after work I am heading to reckless records with my friend Luis to buy my offspring vinyl! ( ignition!) I'm supa

Ps. Things in life get ruined and shitfaced and it's either by our own mistakes or out of our control. things will bounce back! My friend Nelson said to me one day: If your problems have a solution then don't worry bout it! And if they don't have a solution, then why worry! Just keep those you care bout urself close.

Magic Kingdom!

So yesterday we were at magic kingdom where I met my FAVE movie characters: Aladdin, Jasmin, and Genie!! Oh man! It was wonderful!!!! Today epcot, Holllywood Disney and downtown Disney!!!!

Hooray! So it only took me 23 years to get to this place. But I'm here! Me and my sisters are staying at the Caribbean beach resort! And I must say that this whole place is well thought out. (the man is a genius and gave everyone an eternal child within.) currently we are on the monorail to Magic kingdom we just came from Animal Kingdom!
I shall post more pictures later or as I go along today. Here's a picture of my sisters and I on a dinosaur.

This day in March 1, 1932

The Kidnapping of Charles A. Lindbergh Jr:

The boy was abducted from his home in New Jersey,  Charles was 20 months and born to Charles Lindbergh and Anne Morrow, Charles Lindbergh was a famed aviator of his time which made his case world wide news. Over two months later, on May 12, 1932, his body was discovered a short distance from the Lindbergh's home, medical examiners say the boy died of a massive skull fracture. It's suggested that the kidnappers dropped the boy from the ladder they used to enter the boys room 2 storys above.  

After intense media and social scrutiny Bruno Richard Hauptmann was arrested, charged and found guilty after a two year investigation. The trial itself lasted from January 2 1935 to February 13 1935. He proclaimed his innocence til the very end and his widower unsuccessfully tried to sue the state of New Jersey.  


Recently on The History Channels' Pawn Stars a man brought in letters and evidence from trial that he either inherited or bought and says the evidence proved Bruno was an innocent man. It was the pressure of society to make someone pay for the horrendous crime. The man who brought the items believes it was Charles Lindbergh's own friend who done the kidnapping and made off with the money and planted the traceable money to Bruno. This case is a horrible one that hits at my heart because I have the biggest heart for kids and children, and no child deserves this or any of the crimes you hear about on the news. Any adult who commits crimes against children will answer to God.

It's finally March! Well lots have happened since I last wrote but lets start with what has not: still in school (although i talked with an advisor and I see an end!) Still single (happy? Yes, yes I am. Do i wish I was attached? Mmm no I thought I was but, I rather wait for that right guy and waiting is what I'll do.)
I finally got my uniform! Which means I finally was able to take the test after 5 schedulings!
I do feel like I have more power in what I do, like I dnt feel like a newbie and the passengers dnt scare me.( Yes I can check your bag sir so shut it!)
I still love my friends, I am enjoying Ivans outings which include him and me going go bars and extending my alcohol tastes and knowledge. ( I tried a pb & j shot. And ohemgee, it did tastes like it!)
This weekend is a busy one, I wish I could say why (not yeeettttt!) but after this weekend and next week i shall be wrapping up the quarter and be readily available for all. (:
